Cheryl Benson - Program Director/Teacher Cheryl is the Director and Teacher of Hiland Hill preschool at Bethesda Covenant Church. Cheryl began teaching at Hiland Hill in 2001, where she soon became co-director and then director of Hiland Hill. Prior to coming to Hiland Hill, Cheryl taught at Rockford's Childrens Learning Center. Cheryl grew up in Rockford but spent time teaching in Connecticut and California before returning to Rockford in 1992. Cheryl has experience working with children ages two to afterschool age. She earned her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education in Riverside CA. She has over 16 years of experience teaching and continuing education. Cheryl lives in Rockford with her husband and three children. When she is not teaching and creating new experiences for the preschoolers, she enjoys theater, reading, hiking and spending time with her family.
Pam Boyer - Assistant Teacher Pam Boyer has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Special Education. She had much experience in her field, beginning with ten years in the Harlem School District, nine years as a Director/Teacher at Bethlehem Lutheran Preschool and eight years on staff at Broadway Covenant Church. When Pam is not engaging your little ones in new learning opportunities, you may find her spending time with her husband, Dennis, and her two daughters, Marissa and Krista. She has a dog named Scooter and enjoys biking, walking, and reading. Pam attends Central Christian Church. |
